Welcome May ~
a month to count blessings…
to share the heart…
to wrap things up…
to embrace being a little older…
to read, write, and learn…
to welcome new experiences…
simply, just to be…
me.
I’ve not had much time to blog lately.
Every single day is full of going to school and then coming home to work on projects that are due. Aside from writing a long 15-page research paper, I’ve been constructing a thematic unit for teaching (at finish, it should be about 100 pages!).
I have to allow my garden watering in the mornings to be my “quiet time” and I’m beginning to feel malnourished in that area. I dislike putting important rituals on the back burner…but diligently I pray and do my best to be observant to how I might be used for a greater purpose. Never have I been more aware of the importance of smiling back! Everyone at school is sporting tight, drawn, anxious faces…don’t they know this causes wrinkles? In any case, I’m getting through these days and will be back to blogging soon…I miss everyone tremendously! I would like to welcome a new blogger who is the apple of my son’s eye. I am mentioning her because it would be so sweet for you to drop by and read her blog, but mostly keep her in your prayers as she prepares to leave for Africa. You are sure to become quickly enamored with her as my entire family has. I’ve not mentioned (for lack of time mostly) the impact Africa has had on the hearts of my children. That is a post for another day…soon! Meanwhile, visit Susanna…she is sharing beautiful pictures of her past trips to Africa.

Joni my dear! Your writing even sounds tired LOL. We are proud of your dedication and sad that your flowers and us are missing you. You'll get there soon (hugs)
Off to see Susanna!
Hang in there, Joni! Praying for you~now, I will visit Susanna! :)
I think things are not very positive in education right now. It has been difficult here, too. i tend to be optimistic and I am hoping things will get better. The good thing is that the children are always the same and always excited to see us. That's the best part!! I love to read your posts!!
Hang in there and Good luck.
