"Gum Alley" San Luis Obispo, California

Mildly disgusting isn't it?
Better here as an artistic expression
than beneath the tables and chairs elsewhere.

This is not but maybe 19 miles from my house! I've been there many times. The gum started getting put on the walls about 1959-1960 and even tho people complained about it, it just 'stuck'.

There's a few shops that have gumball machines on the sidewalk to add your own mark, which I did only once years ago. I think they had to replace one of the walls when the one building had to do earthquake retrofitting ... but I can't remember if they did or not. Still, have you been here yourself?

Joni, please e-mail me your address and favorite colors. I want to make you a bracelet too.

And please measure your wrist with a cloth tape measure and tell me if you like your bracelets a little loose.

I loved your post on the homeless you feed and I want to do something for you my friend.

love you, Nita
