back-to-school

That's me in kindergarten! Second row, fourth from the left!

I start back to school today and boy does that make me happy! This was the l-o-n-g-e-s-t break I have ever had. I almost didn't know what to do with myself. I must have the cleanest house on the block. I've read numerous books, watched several movies, went shopping, worked in the garden, visited family and friends, cooked, knitted, walked, wrote, and drank lots of coffee! I am so ready to plunge into the spring's academic challenges. I only have three classes, but two of the classes I had to get special permission to take together (what an ordeal!) and the third class requires additional work in the public schools, so it's really like having four classes. I am #2 on the waitlist for the most important class...this worries me...but I think that's not too bad of a spot to be in...I should be OK (optimism is a good thing right?). Blogging will be sporadic I'm sure, so I will probably be posting lots of Random Pictures with very few words and relying on all of you to fill in the gaps. I'll still be visiting each of you regularly ( some habits are hard to break). I've got my backpack, check. Books, check. Peanut butter and jelly sandwich, check. Thermos of coffee, check. Pencils, check. I'm good to go! Have a beautiful day wherever on the planet you are standing ~ and remember...

Joni, my dear friend, please put back the peanut butter and opt for just a jelly sandwich! The horror stories about the peanut butter plants just makes me ill......and I don't want it to make you ill!

I so admire you going back to school. I always said I would, but I never did. I know, it's not too late. And if we stay home for a whole semester, I may take a class or two from the college I retired from two and a half years ago. But then again, I also love traveling and certainly won't give up the summer trip to Alaska and my son!

Would you list the titles of your classes so I know what you're taking?

Okay, time to see if the connection will stay up long enough for me to post pictures of our last trip. Have a wonderful day!

Oh, you were a cutie pie! I remember curls like that back in the day, LOL. Is that a Toni perm, teehee?

I do NOT envy you going back to school. I love to learn, but at my own pace and with the freedom to study what I enjoy and entertains my mind. Good wishes to you!

I really don't understand why your break was THAT long....???? But for whatever reasons, I think you truly enjoyed it. I hope you finish up soon, and can settle in to a new path or career. I will be looking forward to your "random" pictures!

Thanks for the comments on my blog today and thanks for sharing your wonderful first day back to school.

You mentioned that you sent me a Valentine Surprise. I have not received it as of today but will be going to the PO again tomorrow.

Hugs and have a wonderful week at school.

I have one of these pictures! LOL

Good luck with the class, Joni and enjoy getting back into your routine.

You have the most peaceful blog I visit and I calm down the minute I get here. How do you do that? :)

Love you...

I love this post. I need to adopt that quote at the end. It's a good thing to keep in mind! Good luck with your school and your conference! It sounds fun.
