Photo Challenge: signs of spring

Camellias in bloom

A pair of doves have been scouring for a good nesting spot.
The female is resting in one of my hanging plants
while this male stays close by...a sure sign of spring.

One of the trees on campus blooming.

There really weren't very many "signs of spring" for me to choose from. Winter is still trying to hang on and most flowering plants and trees are bare...but things should be changing in the next couple of weeks. It was a fun challenge to get out and explore nature a bit and I look forward to seeing what all of you have captured through your lens.
Thanks for stopping by!

Your photos are BEAUTIFUL! I love the colors. I think I found more weeds to photograph than flowers! But it was fun to get outside and look!

Beautiful signs of spring! Love that first photo. Ohio doesn't have that many signs of spring yet but when it happens it'll be gorgeous! Can't wait!

I love your signs of spring. Our morning doves have not been around, but I had 21 Cardinals in the back yard the other day... still pretty much winter here.

Wonderful Spring signs Miz Joni! I love the mournful look the dove has. We have a pair that nests here every year that I've named Ricky and Lucy.

Love those camellias with the water droplets on them. We're still buried in snow so had to rely on some of last years bounty for this challenge.

Beautiful! How clever for you to think of the dove picture, with them scouting out a nesting site! We just spotted a bluebird pair today picking out a birdhouse in our back yard!

Wow ... I think that the black background you have helps make your photos just really "pop"! Very nice, my gosh that pink is just gorgeous! Very, very nice!

Hard for me to think of a spring photo challenge today! We drove through a pretty good snow storm in Illinois this afternoon. We're in Missouri tonight, and I'm cold! Minnesota tomorrow, and I'm sure spring hasn't arrived yet! So I'll just gaze on your photos until we have our own!

I am so ready for Spring.. I have been outside just walking around and around looking for something green! Lots to look at but we are in for a hard freeze tonight! Bummer!

Ahhh nice. We have NO signs of Spring here in NC, except the doves :) They seem to always be on my back deck. Up to 8 at a time.

Beautiful photos sweetie!

Yes, still a little early here for us too. I bet in the next couple weeks we will start seeing more and more signs. However...the robins were here this weekend in good form!!
