In celebration of friendship, coffee, and the arrival of fall I would like to invite all of you to participate in a very special blog drawing! Look what I had made up especially for some lucky winner! These little coffee berries come from Dean's Beans and are a blend harvested from Sumatra and Nicaragua. Since I really enjoy reading over some of your blogs while I sip my morning coffee I thought it only appropriate that you share in the joy of some of the best coffee around. These beans are 100% organic, fair trade and kosher. Just leave your favorite coffee quote on this post or create one of your own expressing your thoughts on coffee and your name will be entered in the drawing. If you mention this drawing on your blog, your name will be entered twice! I will draw a winner on the first official day of fall ~ Monday, September 22nd.
Have fun and good luck!

Coffee is my go-juice. My favorite cup of coffee ever was in a little out door cafe in a little, old, city in Germany.
Coffee was the first date my husband and I had. Not really a coffee drinker but he lives for it. So being that I wanted to impress him, we went out for coffee for our first date. Been with him ever since. I like capacino (sp?) if that counts!!!!
Well, I have to tell you this little story ..
We were having a (rare) quiet moment with the 4yr old and 2 yr old twins after dinner at my son's place here in Melbourne, and Ian was making a hot drink and asked whether we would like coffee or tea....whereupon there was a tiny voice from 2 yr old R
"I'll have a coffee"
Well, we laughed and laughed, and that made the kids laugh too...and I thought well, we should teach him to say .."I'll have a decaf please" because he sure doesn't need the other sort!
Hope you like my (at present) favorite coffee story

My thoughts on coffee?
Want it; Need it; Gotta have it!
My favorite coffee ever was in Venice Italy, in March of 2005. My friend and I who had joined the art trip from the college where we worked, started each day standing at the counter in tiny coffee shops, drinking their incredible cappuccino! TO DIE FOR!
Coffee... Fuel for the day!
YUM!
i just remember coffee being a part of growing up...always...my dad was an avid coffee drinker and still is....and with bryan's norwegian and danish ancestry....i married into a serious coffee drinking family!....i actually remember being disappointed when it seemed my girls weren't going to be coffee drinkers......now i celebrate the ritual with them! :)
and i loved.loved.loved drinking coffee in Paris ....sitting ouside at one of the many little sidewalk cafe's and taking in the grandeur of it all......coffe goes with the simplest things....yet enhances what is already on a very grand scale!

I have measured out my life with coffee spoons. ~T.S. Eliot
I just found that quote and it pretty much sums up my life! There are times when a cup of coffee (or frappucino) will completely change my day, and energize my thoughts and attitudes. The first time I tried Espresso was in Europe, I think Venice. There was also a little cafe in Amsterdam with lace curtains and a little vase with a yellow flower on the table, I remember sitting there looking out of the window and drinking coffee.
It seems to add to our experience!
Oh man now THIS is the type of giveaway I can get into! I LOVE coffee. I didn't even start drinking it until I was in my early 30's lol. What was I thinking. I have come to lovely address coffee as "the Christian Drug of Choice"! I would love to win that wonderful yumminess! It makes me want to go have another cup!
Thanks for this wonderful, meaningful, thoughtful, giveaway. Do I get extra points for sucking up?
Blessings to you!
Kim

I don't have a word by word quote and don't have a grinder for the beans. But thinknig of coffee always makes me smile and think of that cartoon that came out last year....Meet the Robinsons.
There was a clip where the female scientist had 8 coffee stimulant patches going up her arm. She said that they worked great and had no side affects....then she screamed and twitched.
Oh and another one that makes me laugh is a clip from Open Season. The bear and deer were robbing a convenience store and the deer got into the mocha machine. He would take a sip, shiver and make a yuck face, and then shiver with pleasure and giggle. Then the cycle would happen over nad over again.
Listen to me...I must really like cartoons huh?
