I love October...Only recently the nights have become cooler...
Last night there was an incredible show of lightning across the sky...
I pressed my nose to the glass and watched it...waiting for the dog to decide to come back in.
Always in the wee hours when everyone is sleeping does she think she needs to "patrol" the yard...
I'm OK with that.
Sometimes sleep is overrated.

Hmmm, I've been thinking about a dog lately, but I don't have to let the cat in. O.k. one up for the No Dog side. I do like a lightning storm though, and you are right sleep is so elusive.

we have that weather today!!! long awaited beautiful storm!!! some "run back in the house scared" cracks of thunder followed by an amazing light show...and lots and lots of rain....does a body and soul so.much.good!

We have had such unseasonably warm weather this past week. Two times the temps hit 90! Too hot for October, my favorite month. I love October....cooler nights, the bright colors of the leaves, the peaceful end of the too busy summer days, and the promise of the rest and quiet of the winter months.

hi Joni, I had to giggle at your nose pressed against the window pane. I am quite often guilty of the same thing.
It has been so long since I have gotten to visit. Hubby just bought me a laptop so I am thinking it will enable me to venture into blog land more easily.
I love those pink flowers. They are so vivid and bright. And yet God says even that pales in comparison to the real colors in store for us. Gosh that makes me jump with excitement.
