It's another beautiful weekend...
Yesterday I received a phone call from Earl! I was so happy to hear from him. He is doing well. He was having difficulty getting what he wanted to say out so he handed the phone to his wife. His wife? I told him I didn't know he was married. He chuckled and said she was his ex-wife but that she was so good to him that it really didn't make any difference. He also told me that they thought he was having another stroke so they took him to the hospital via medi-flight and he just got the bill this week - $16,000. He laughed about that too. Apparently, California isn't the only place full of craziness. I'm just glad to know he is being well taken care of.

The picture says it all, I love it and so very true!! I had to chuckle and kind of cry at the same time when I read about Earl and the ex-wife thing. You touched that man life and the rest of them as well, just like you have touched mine all these years. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It just makes you see how good God is and how good life can be. Sometimes we can't see the big picture. It helps to read stories like this one!I definitely think Earl has the right attitude!

i was just thinking of earl yesterday...and our conversation about him at dinner when we visited...how wonderful that he is renewing all these relationships that were a part of his life before....i am so happy he called and talked with you....you made such a difference in his life.
hoping you get to catch your breath and sit a spell and enjoy the weekend....know you are one busy lady....i feel that way too....but i just need to get organized! :-)

I think of Earl just about every time I check yhour blog. In other words, lots! So glad he called you to let you know what's happening. Are you still visiting with the other folks that Earl hung out with?

Oh what wonderful news in one respect. I am glad you found him his way home and that he is being taken care of. I am very sorry that now he might be having other health issues. But no matter what...at least he has someone to care about him....what more could he ask for in life? Keep us posted anytime you get news...seems he has become apart of this blogging world too. Ha Ha Ha, whether he likes it or not!
How wonderful you heard from Earl, Joni. He will NEVER forget you, I'm sure. I hope his health improves, and yes, as others have said it's so good he is now with his loved ones. God is so good along with the help from nice people like you. (((hugs)))

I am glad that he is getting tender loving care from his x-wife.......Who knows what God is up to....... what a difference you made in his life......
