book swapalapagos

I bought this book about the time I ordered the ladybugs for my garden. Yeah, I know...I was going through a ladybug stage. Well I never received my ladybugs. I have of course requested a refund for my ladybugs and I have of course heard nothing. I have sent them a "nice" letter and I would share it with you here, but it might not be entirely politically correct so I will resign that notion to a day when I've had an extra glass of wine, which is a rare occasion. I did, however, enjoy this book and so as books are stacking up as they do once you have read them, I decided to propose a book swap. On my sidebar somewhere < or >, I will create a list of books I would be happy to swap with someone...book for book. Simply leave a comment (or email me if you prefer) with the selection you have and we can make our choice. First to comment or email gets first choice. I imagine that I will keep this an ongoing thing and I read a lot, so you can look for new additions to my list at any time. I most usually keep literature books, but there are always summer reads that deserve to be passed on. Sometimes I have duplicates so I'll list those as well. I figure postage is cheaper than buying a new book...sometimes. In any case we'll give it a try and see how it goes...
*as a secondary note - I joined Facebook! I know it will probably get an eye roll from my kids but that's OK. I plan to give them many more opportunities to roll their eyes as I get older, hopefully without much effort. Some of you may have received an invite from me, but of course I would love to have any of you join in...so look me up. I put a Facebook badge on my sidebar down yonder on the right....probably temporarily.

Have a beautiful day ~

What a great idea. If only this had been a few months ago!

I would participate but I did a huge book purge this winter right after I got my Kindle. Check out my blog to see a post on why I love my Kindle so much.

I hope you get lots of great books. Happy reading.

Great idea Joni! I belong to a book club of my friends and each month we read a new book and then meet at a restaurant which goes with the theme of the book to discuss it. I have been using my local library almost exclusively over the last 4 years due to finances. I do have a small collection of my own of my very favorite ones, though.

This book on your post looks very intriguing!! Never have heard of it.

Love your blog, Joni... the music is so soothing, peaceful... it's like a mini spa visit for the spirit. : ))
hugs,

That's a wonderful idea, I'll be keeping check too. I think my reads would probably scare a lot of folks cause I love horror and murder and mayhem reads, but if you're interested in any of those I'll share.
