lady bug, lady bug...

I've been so busy. I've been on spring break all week trying to get ahead on school work. Unfortunately, I am easily distracted. There is always so much to do! I find myself strolling around in the backyard tending the garden I planted about three weeks ago. Little sprouts are beginning to emerge...it's so exciting! I planted tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, green onions, hot peppers, cantaloupe, squash, dill, cilantro, rosemary, and basil. My climbing rose vine is covered with aphids...and this annoys me to no end. I ordered some lively lady bugs to be delivered today...I hope they are hungry! The weather has been so beautiful...a bit windy, but warm enough to keep me sneaking outside when I should be reading or writing! What's a girl to do!?

I have to ask....are those really your roses in that picture?

I love that you enjoy the beauty of being in the outdoors. Yes school does call out its concerns but there is something to be said for enjoying the "now" as well as planning for the future. (Although I guess school is a bit of both NOW and FUTURE huh?)

Thank you so much for the award last week. I am so sorry to only just now be getting to it. Your kind words made me well up with tears.

Blessings to you and your day.

I am so jealous of my friends that have gardens! I would be out walking around in the garden too if I had one. Let mne know when the dill, cilantro, rosemary and basil are ready! Those are my four favorite herbs. And then I love the tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, squash and cantaloupe too.

Hope your lady bugs are hungry and take care of the aphids.

And I still plan to acknowledge the award you gave me last week. It means more to me than any other award I've been given......I want to shine His light always.

Hugs sweet friend.............

I also want to know if that is your window in the photo? Beautiful.

Take lots of outside breaks, Joni! You need to refresh your mind for schoolwork. Good enough reason :)

you keep going outside and enjoying the this beautiful weather we're having right now, except for the wind, and enjoy your aphid covered climbing rose bush as well!! and that garden...sounds wonderful, if you need to get rid of some of that home grown food, don't look to far, I'm right down the road and around a corner or two =)
Love ya

Well I hope the ladies arrived today safe and sound....and hungry! The weather has been ok, suppose to have some bad storms coming in late tonight and tomorrow. I have been taking pictures and I am worn out. 222 Sr. pics one day, and about 80-85 the next day. I have not even posted any of them yet. But will try to here in a bit. I loved it, had so much fun, just need to learn how to edit them and give them some pop on the finish end. Glad you are doing well. Are you still feeding every Friday? Well give us an update when you can and enjoy the rest of your spring break!

Your garden sounds AWESOME!! I love being outside also, and my house is beginning to shot it! I had plans this weekend to work on it, but my daughter is here (woohoo)and that is SO much more important. :)

I admire your ambition Joni. I have always wanted a garden but never had the ambition to plant and take care of one. My neighbor has a HUGE garden so he shares with us and that is plenty. Your ladybug is cute.

Hope you are having a great day my friend.
How are your homeless friends doing?

Hugs
Patti

Life is too short to just do the things we must do, gotta make time for doing the things we want to do as well.
