When Erik was a little guy, about 2-years-old, we were attending the wedding of one of my dear friends and we were all sitting in the church pews watching as the beautiful bride made her entrance. Our heads were all turned and Erik stood on the pew between his dad and I soaking in the smiles and music and all the love in the air...the bride reached the front of the church, the music stopped, and all was very, very quiet....and my sweet son pipes out "Hush, hush, I smell a rat close by!"
I wanted to melt in my seat.
I prayed they all knew the ending of The Three Little Kittens and didn't take it personally.

And now all these years later....you remember this wedding more than off those where your son behaved perfectly. AND you remember it with a smile in your heart. Amazing how it's those little things that make memories.
Our sweet, little, children can surely give us some awesome memories. I bet it was an unforgettable wedding!

Cute story! Kids say wonderful things, don't they? Like the time my oldest, Kari, saw a very large woman in the grocery store. Kari was riding in the cart and she stuck out her finger and pointed right at the woman and in her LOUDEST voice exclaimed "That lady sure is fat!" I hung my head in shame, but the woman looked up, smiled, and gently said "Kids can be counted on to tell the truth, can't they?"
That is so cute and funny. I love kids they just say what they are thinking.
Now that is funny...... God has to have a sense of humor..... He puts some of the funniest things in the children s mouths.....
you know I say that at work when someone has caused some trouble, and I don't want to say any names...I just love to watch them squirm in their seats, I love it that Erik said it in church, the innocence of babes!!
Love,
Nettie
That is so funny. How precious. I enjoyed that unexpected laugh this morning!
How funny. It is things like that that people will remember for years to come. I hope it was caught on video.
Believe it or not I remember that book.
