summer days

Realizing how fast this summer break is going I decided to take a few days and attempt to finish some projects I wanted to get done while I had this time off. It's been hot and I wilt like a flower in the heat so I have to head for shade about noon and of course I sleep in until about 9 or 10 so that doesn't give me much time to get anything done, but I'm doing my best! I decided to jazz up my garden trellis' and paint them yellow....and I know I should have thought of this in the spring, but I do my most creative thinking when my time is running out to complete any ideas I come up with. My summer is just now getting into full swing and everyone is talking about their kids going back to school and the magazines all have fall pictures on them...I guess I'm just a late bloomer...but I'm not quite ready for summer to be over yet, there's still much more fun to be had!

Well, you just keep hanging on to summer until the last drop is gone. I do that too. Not sure how all the folks living in colder regions live through the winters. I just couldn't do it without a great deal of pain.

Love the cartoon!

I know what you mean. I seem to need that impending deadline or pressure to really motivate me to get whatever it is that needs doing done.

When is your break over?

Maxine supports my view on most everything.

I'm going to try my best to enjoy what's left of Summer but I'm still mourning it's passing too.

i only wish i was mourning its passing! :).....only half heartedly....but since it is still 95 degrees here in november, i don't even THINK fall until november, december!!!! but i sure enjoy all the beautiful pictures in the magazines and look forward to my sweet garden being able to bloom without heat stroke! :)
good luck on your projects, dear joni....and enjoy the moments before your time is busy with school again!

My grandson started back to school on Tuesday, my sister in law started yesterday(teacher) and my other sil (teacher) starts next week. I can not believe the summer is almost gone. I have been retired a little over a year and it has just flown by. I don't like that. I want time to slow down a little!!! So enjoy your project and enjoy the day, week, month....have a good one.

I've always been a late bloomer too. I just painted a ceramic pot that I've been planning to do for 10 years. But I did it! I'm not ready for summer to be over yet either.
