patience

Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Three years ago I planted this climbing rose vine
and yesterday it bloomed for the first time.
I've been waiting and waiting...watching it grow and stretch
and just as I was about to give up on it....it became BEAUTIFUL.

A gentle reminder to seek patience when I am in a hurry for results
and to appreciate that all things have a season in which their beauty is a gift ~

I loved this post. It is so neat how God uses the little things to remind us of the character traits He wants to develop in us.

But did you also see the beauty in the green vine? Blooms are beautiful as an end results but don't miss the beauty of getting there too. I love LOVE your posting. Yet another example of your gentle, tender spirit that I envision in you.

love this post, joni....i remember last year when jamie thought her favorite vine was dead from our severe frost....and started to take it out, only to find underneath all the dried and dead leaves......a very green little vine beginning again.
things take time....and it sure is a hard lesson to learn sometimes....patience and His time.
hugs dear friend,
kimberly
