a new day

A new day and it is still raining. I wanted so badly to take a picture of the sky yesterday. It was so beautiful with every color of purple imaginable and soft, billowy clouds of the purest white rising from the top. Kristin and I took a much needed break from our reading/studying to go grab a coffee and we were pleasantly surprised by the colors. I must say that girl has determination when she wants something. I have never seen her so focused on her school work before. She is training to be an EMT while she is getting her General Ed out of the way and it is a very difficult class...very few people are passing. There are big tests this week and in two weeks she will start working in the ER. Her homework is much more interesting than mine...Shakespeare vs. Cardiac-Respiration....hmmm. She dances through the house and pesters her brother...she demonstrates dog CPR on Lacey and I smile, all while I'm telling her if she doesn't stop being so much fun I won't be able to let her go anywhere...and of course she smiles knowing I support her. She's such a brat, but at least she can administer CPR if my heart breaks too badly!
