These are a few pieces of my green jade depression glassware that I have had given to me or collected over the years. I actually have quite a few pieces, but I do not have any dinner plates. I was also given a few pieces of the carnival glass as well, but there is something about the green ones that I prefer. I think it is because they aren’t fancy…they are just simple. When we go to street festivals or browse around in antique stores (one of my favorite things to do!) I can usually find a piece that will contribute nicely to my set. One piece at a time doesn’t break the bank. I’m not quite old enough to remember them actually being used, but I do remember when I was a little girl every time we filled our car up with gas the gas stations would give out a cup or glass (not depression glass). My mom told me stories about when manufacturers use to give cups away in oatmeal boxes too!…and I am still fascinated by the stories of printed flour sacks being so versatile, and to think they still make those! I think part of the charm is that life was much more simple and people made do with what they could afford, not like today where we tire so easily of something and run out to replace it with a new one!

Lovely! I had one piece of jade depression glass and it broke last year. I was so sad. It's good to see that you have it. :)
I like those green glass ware, when ever I bring Carnival Glass or glass jades they didn’t lasted long they used to break due to miss handling. These are lovely glass jades, Thank you.
