A New Start

Another amazing day to count our blessings. Kristin started Junior College today. I think the new routine will be refreshing for her. Last week was just a bad week for her. Sunday her and a girlfriend went to a different church to experience their youth program and when she got back out to her car someone had broken out the window and stole her purse with her cell phone and all of her identification. Now she can't get her textbooks until she has a picture i.d., so we are at the mercy of DMV. Not a good place to be. We had her cell number temporarily suspended but she was very upset that she lost the pictures of her grandpa that were on the phone and the medication for her concussion. Unfortunately she also had her social security card in her wallet because of her new job so that is probably something to be concerned about. I am helping her where I can but all in all I am amazed at what God is doing in her life. I can see Him putting many things before her all at once and she is using them to draw nearer to Him. A few inconveniences are well worth the trade for what is actually taking place. I've done more praying for the people who stole from her than I have for her because I can see that she will be just fine. Anyway, this should prove to be a better week for her and now we have a legitimate excuse to shop for a new handbag! The Greg Laurie Harvest was incredible. I ended up attending all three nights with different people and it was very cool to be a part of something with such impact. Lives were changed. The music was wonderful and the message was great. I personally was honored with the opportunity to pray with a little boy named Octavio and his family. He was very excited about Jesus and I thought he was adorable. The smile on his face spread to my own and stayed all night. I am sure this was a night he will remember for a long time (hopefully a lifetime). Well, I need to get busy in this house. Sunday's day of rest makes for busy hands on Monday! If you have joined me this morning and have any advice to offer about stolen SS cards, I would be truly grateful!
